These type of tests are just Media hype and Marketing scams.
If you believe this sort of thing you must also believe in the Tooth Fairy and Santa.
Use a different set of inputs and you will get a completely different winner.
This is how A.V. companies sell their products, they show how efficient there program is against others by using inputs that their product can detect.

I read that post Yesterday have been following that thread.
My 2c worth, pick an A.V. program from the top 10 programs that you like and am confident with and stick with it (they are as good as each other).
Just run a scan every now and then with another product just to be sure.

If you google anti-virus reports, pretty well every different report has different results. Which one is accurate if any?

One thing I noticed with all the commercial products: Their prices went down considerably since MS came out with MSE (which I am using now with good results).

They will all be accurate but the problem is the inputs they use to test them.
An example of this is Avast will use 100 virus/worms etc. that they know their system can pick up but Nortons or one of the others will miss some, making Avast look good, and Nortons will use some that make Avast look bad and theirs look good

Norton 2010 wins the race this year. That's nice.
