    Sophos 7 won't install

I installed Sophos Antivirus in August back when I had Vista with no problem and it was running fine.

Then after I installed Windows 7 (Home Premium), the program would update but would not open at all, and this went on for several weeks.

So I finally decided to uninstall it and try downloading and installing it again, but whenever I try to install, the following message appears:

It says "Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\sav_install\InstallSophos.lnk'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

I can't find the file using Windows Explorer either, so I am stumped. Any solutions to this?

Which version of Windows 7 are you using? (32-bit or 64-bit?)

Which version of Sophos are you trying to install?

have you done clean install of Windows 7 or upgrade?

Hi, kignusonic. Are you certain it was Sophos Antivirus? Sophos products are for Enterprise and Small Business. I believe that the minimum package is for 5 computers at USD $186.25/year.

If this is truly your intention, I would suggest downloading it again. The first attempt may be corrupt.

    Hello,

I actually just installed and ran Sophos AutoUpdate and then the install for the program was successful.

This Sophos Antivirus program comes free with my college network, so I downloaded it from my school's website.

    Anyway, thanks everyone!
