right-click the icon in the taskbar: "Firewall Security Level" & "Defence+ Security Level" ?
Yes, if a new checkpoint is made while the computer is still infected and the computer is restored to that point, the infection will be restored. That, however, is not my point. The objective is to remove the infection from the computer, create a clean restore point and then, as I indicated, use Disk Cleanup to remove all but the last (clean) restore point.
Between false positives and user error, having an infected restore point to return to and start over is better than an unbootable machine, most particularly in situations where it is an OEM install with no disks and no backup.

yadielfeliciano, now is the time to create a new restore point and use Disk Cleanup:
For Windows Vista and Windows 7:
- Click start, type Disk Cleanup in the search box
- Right-Click Disk Cleanup and select "Run as Administrator" and accept the UAC elevation prompt.
- Select the drive where Windows is installed (if you have more than one drive) and click "OK".
- When the scan completes, check/uncheck desired boxes.
- Next, please click the More Options tab at the top.
- Click the "Clean up..." button under the "System Restore and Shadow Copies" section at the bottom.
- Click Delete in response to the question "Are you sure you want to delete all but the most recent restore point?", click OK and answer Yes again.
- The disk clean up utility will remove the selected items. When it completes, please restart the computer to properly record the changes made to the hard disk.
hi !
ok, good.
however, if you get too many popups you can run both in training-mode for a couple of days.
Comodo recommends about 1 week for the firewall, so it can "learn" your "normal" use of software.
hi !
regarding Comodo´s firewall: another good thing to do is blocking all INCOMING connections, i have noticed several attacks on my PC,
it has happened so many times that i got tired of getting all those popups where i have to answer Block all the time,
so i decided to block all incoming connnections, since there is really no reason to allow incoming connections for normal use.
right-click the Comodo-icon, open, "Firewall", "Advanced" on the left-menu, "Network Security Policy" at the top in middle-menu,
"Global Rules" upper left, "Add" at the right, "Network Control Rule", in "Action"-window select Block, in "Direction" select In.
click "Apply".
close all Comodo-windows.
You ran MBam but you didn't check to remove the malware?
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
How about Disk Cleanup?
