    Do you need.

    Hey guys quick question.
I installed toca race driver 3 earlier and for some reason the starforce thing corrupted my computer and I could restart pc without it going into startup repair.
Anyway ive done a full reinstall and was just wondering with win7 firewall and win defender if its worth actualy having avg installed as an AV since I already have defender.

Download Microsoft Security Essentials, it takes the place of Windows Defender and is a much better program! http://www.microsoft.com/security/products/mse.aspx

Hi Jacee, how does the Microsoft Security Essentials compare to other security solutions? Is there a 64-bit version? I am using Eset 4 at the moment, but I always wonder if there is something as (or more) efficient that would consume less resources.

Yes, unifex, there is a 64-bit version and Microsoft Security Essentials works just fine on Windows 7 64-bit.

@BlinkY, since you installed MSE, do not install AVG as you don't want two antivirus programs conflicting.

yeh dont worry, its actualy nice not having to touch AVG or any external AV or firewall now. ive read a few reviews (if you know of any more then let me know) and Essentials seems to come up pretty good so more than happy to use it, also the GUI for once looks pretty easy to navigate.
