With the anti-virus being one of the most important component of your system, and ram being so cheap, why is this even an issue??? Its like being in the ring with one hand tied behind your back...
Right, I don't understand that either. Why would anybody worry about RAM. At first it is cheap to add more and then the system hardly ever uses all the RAM anyhow (at least if you have enough RAM to fit the system). Most of my RAM is used for caching - and I have only 3GBs. Only 28% is currently being used to perform the requested tasks.
Norton 360 has a memory consumption abt 12-15 MB.
And it has the more functions than MSE but it's not FREE.
For this month i came back to NOD32 SS and i was shocked at the site of 45-60 MB of used Ram.
The system was more agile with the Norton 360...
As hackerman pointed out..
You guys looking only to the User interface resource consumption.
It's not only about RAM but also CPU cycles usage.
And for example for gaming even slightest change REALLY important.
You will understand me, if you tried gaming on the laptop.
And upgrading laptops isn't so easy.
jav, you are probably right on gaming. But I never played any game - even not hearts - LOL. So I have no clue what that could do to it.
