Hi, joeirish.

The SBSD home page link Hackerman provided does indeed indicate that it must run as Administrator. That aside, unless you are planning on keeping it updated, downloading the software wouldn't be of much value.

Although you didn't mention what software firewall you are using, with MSE, MBAM and SAS and a standard user account, it sounds as though your system is covered.

Corrinne i just use my windows firewall and now and then run windows defender as security essentials turns it off

i only run defender to keep the system up to date

Hi, joeirish.

It sounds as though your computer is nicely protected then. However, note that MSE includes the same anti-spyware definitions as Windows Defender. There is no need to update or scan with Windows Defender when you have MSE active.
