Windows 7: Is there a free firewall + antivirus for Win7?

New version of CIS is out:

Free Firewall - Download the Best Firewall Protection and Anti-Virus Scan Software from Comodo

Still not recognised by Security Centre but works very well.

Personally, I just use the firewall component of CIS as i don't like the AV or D+. I also use spybot and Prevx 3.0. I don't find the need for a AV and haven't done so for several years.

Did you have to install it in "compatibility mode" or use the "run as admin" mode? Are you using the latest version 5? TIA

I went ahead and installed PC Tools Firewall Plus and it appears to work just fine. Thanks for the tip! I wonder why this isn't more generally known?

I'm just about to change from paid Avira Pro to free Avast antivirus. The Avira had a firewall, but does the free Avast have one? If not, what should I do? Am I right in thinking that my Win7 has a firewall, and if yes, is it enough to rely on this? Thanks for any advice.

Avira free antivirus with Windows 7 firewall
I use a third-party firewall that allows full control. But some of my friends use the firewall built in to Window 7. To each their own. I've taken a look at that firewall, and it's actually fairly flexible. It has quite of bit of incoming traffic blocked by default, but leaves outgoing...
