Is there a free firewall + antivirus for Win7?

    New version of CIS is out:

    Free Firewall - Download the Best Firewall Protection and Anti-Virus Scan Software from Comodo

    Still not recognised by Security Centre but works very well.

    Personally, I just use the firewall component of CIS as i don't like the AV or D+. I also use spybot and Prevx 3.0. I don't find the need for a AV and haven't done so for several years.

    I'm using Windows Firewall with admin right (forced to start on boot), avast! and PC Tools Firewall Plus....all work fine together so far, no conflict.

    I just use Windows Firewall, currently have nod32 for av but will be testing microsofts new av when thats released.

    Did you have to install it in "compatibility mode" or use the "run as admin" mode? Are you using the latest version 5? TIA

    PC Tools firewall


    Just downloaded the exe from PCTools website and ran the .exe file.

    Result!

    I went ahead and installed PC Tools Firewall Plus and it appears to work just fine. Thanks for the tip! I wonder why this isn't more generally known?
