Open File - Security Warning when opening photos?

This only happens when I open photos I've saved off the internet, like from facebook and things like that.

How can I stop this from happening? It's so annoying. There is a box to check to make it stop but only for that one specific file. I would like it to stop all-together.

I tried typing "gpedit.msc" in Run like someone in another forum said, but it didn't work. It says "Windows cannot find gpedit."

I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium.

You can disable UAC but I would not advise it...its there for your protection....

Oh okay, so is this something that happens because UAC is enabled? If I disable UAC (I don't know much about it) I will be more vulnerable to virus's? Is it better I just live with the popups every time I open a photo? (I have thousands of photos on my computer that I deal with daily.) :/

What is the 'security' warning and what program is warning you?

The program I use to open the files is Photo Impression, it came with my digital camera. It's set as my default for viewing photo's since I use it for editing as well.

The security just asks me if I'm sure I want to open the file. It does it when I click on any photo.

Ah, that's UAC ... it asks me everytime I want to open one of my security and/or cleaning programs. I've learned to live with it :)
