Kasper sky causes blue screen of death.(for me)

I'm running windows 7 build 7077 x64. I updated kaspersky last night and it must be something major because it required a reboot well i was about to go to bed anyway so i just shut down my pc. any way this morning I woke up to turn on my pc I got up to the login screen and was typing in my password when a blue screen pops up. so i try again but i don't type my password in and it still blue screens this time i manage to read something about kis.sys and then i realize Kasper updated last night. So here i am booted into safe mode and I'm just about to load kaspersky to confirm it.

Edit: can't run it in safe mode. does anyone know how to get the error message from the blue screen Edit2: correction the blue screen mentions kl1.sys which is one of kasperskys.

kaspersky acts really weirdly for me too. i had once needed to do a system restore to a pretty early date just to stop it from blocking every internet activity. and with the latest patch, im washing my hands off it.

i had the same issue today. disabled kas from the services list via safe mode, then uninstalled it after rebooting. i reinstalled it, but disabled auto-update for the time being. i guess i'll try avast as well.

So far I haven't had any problems with KIS 2009. It works fine. Never had any blue screens or any other related problems. The only thing was as mentioned in my original post. Strange! You should think that a company like Kaspersky would have sorted out any compatibility issues by now!

I had the same issue with Kaspersky & it's supposed to support Windows 7. Had to completely re-install my OS so i went on to use Norton, biggest mistake ever LOL. So now I use Avast! and have been for a couple of months now & it runs perfectly

I had the same issues with the RC release. In the previous builds the same, but it seemed to have worked properly. I just turned off the warnings. But I don't like something not working 100%, so I uninstalled it yesterday and installed ESET Internet Security, and didn't get any warnings. Everything is working how it should, so I will stay with ESET untill Kaspersky sorted their issues out!

But my license expires on 25.4.2010... So there is no solution for this? I guess i will have to go to Vista back? Because i dont like that something is not 100% working or 100% compatible with os. I have Windows 7 as my only OS... But i have legal OEM of Vista SP1 too (64bit).
Maybe i will give my license of IS to my sister... She have notebook and Vista...
