I think those are noteworthy AV products (I mostly looked at Suites as you prefer it):
    1. Avira. Free version only gives AV.
Has paid Advanced AV and Full security Suite.
Notes: only used Free version, good detection rate. Some users reported problems with update in free version.

    2. Avast.
same as Avira, has Free version which is only AV with Behaviour blocker.
Has paid versions: 1) Advanced AV and 2) Full security Suite
Notes: Easy to use and light. recommended by many users in this forum.
    Haven't tried Suite myself..

    3. AVG
Free version only AV, paid version Full security Suite.
Notes: There are quite a few people who reported that they have problem with AVG on Windows 7. I wouldn't personally recommend it.

    4. Pc Tools Internet Security.
    Full security suite.
Notes: can't say much. I don't know people who use it and it's only joined comperatives this year...
link: avast! - Download Free Antivirus Software or Internet Security

    5. MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials)
    Only AV, no Security Suite
Notes: many people in this forum recommend it if you need just AV for free.
    link: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

    6. Symantec.
    Only paid products.
Has AV (NAV), Internet Security Suite (NIS) and full Suite (Norton 306v3).
Notes: Personally use NIS 2010, very light and effective product. My recommendation will go for it.

    7. McAfee.
    only paid products.
Has AV and Full Security Suites.
Notes: used Suite for 1 year. Personally found heavy for my laptop.
link: McAfee-Antivirus Software and Intrusion Prevention Solutions

    8. ESET
Has just AV (NOD32) or Security Suite (Smart Security)
Notes: don't know much about it. Nice results on comperatives and tests.

    9. Kaspersky
Has Antivirus (KAV) and Internet Security (KIS)
notes: Still show impressive results. One of my favourites but In the past I found it to be a bit heavy. I am sure new products a lot lighter and still offer that awesome protection. But heard one person experiencing some problems with it on Windows 7.

    10. Panda
Offers free Cloud AV, Paid advanced AV, Internet Security, Full Suite with backup and Pc tune (Panda Global Protection)
Notes: A few years ago, I thought about Panda products as a joke. (nothing seriours, just their name isn't that good for AV ) But now they are doing well and I have heard that Panda products are very light as they are more based on cloud technology. But Panda still lacks on self defence (atleast free version does)

    11. A-sqauared.
A-squared was actually first developed as Anti-Malware product but now they have Security Product where they merged their AntiMalware product (which is really effective one btw) and Ikarus AV engine.
So they have free version without real-time protection and paid one with (A-squared Anti-Malware)
It's powerfull and aggressive so they have a few False Positives, but really great detection rates.
link:Emsisoft Anti-Malware and Mamutu behavior blocker - a-squared Malware scanner, remover and protection against new infections of Viruses, Spyware, Trojan Horses, Bots, Backdoors.
There is also full Security Suite, but it's not developed by emsisoft. It's developed by tallemu (trustworthy firewall vendor, they produce really good firewalls)
So tallemu merged their Firewall with the dual engine (a-swaured+Ikarus) of emsisioft and created full Security Suite called Online Armor++
really good suite, but it also has HIPS which may be a bit annoying for some users
link: Best Firewall Software - Stops Hackers, Malware, Viruses, Keylogger & Online Banking Protection - Online Armor
note: they don't support 64-bit OS

oh... There are a lot more products. I think there were more then 167 AV companies out there

So those were just ones I could come up in my mind.
Anyway for Security Suite my vote will go for Norton Internet Security 2010 (as Norton 360 offers many more function which is not needed) or Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.
If you don't like those for personal reasons (happens ), my advice will go for Avast Internet Security.
I personally like A-sqaured's power aswell, but A-sqaured Anti Malware and Online Armor++ are a bit advanced and too powerfull programms to recommend. As i said they may be a bit annoying. I used both for some time.

All you need is MSE, windows firewall and your set.

You could also scan with MBAM or SASW every once in a while.
