If you can run XP mode, why not try testing it on that? Im currently beta testing two programs that way.

Im confused. Why would you need to run the trial under XP mode?

    Recommended system requirements

    • Windows XP SP2, Vista, or Windows 7
    • Available hard disk space: 600 MB
    • Intel Core Duo (1.66 GHz) or equivalent processor
    • RAM:
      • 1GB (Windows XP and Windows 7)
      • 1.5 GB (Windows Vista)
    • 450 MB available hard disk space
It supports 7 as it is...

Just Curious what the reason was is all.

I think it was a desire to check it out without risking anything to the existing box.

I think it's a great policy....i hardly ever install anything onto my actual Windows box to play around with it. I almost always test it on a virtual machine and then can decide if I want to install or not. Keeps the machine nice and clean...without left behind components which over time certainly can slow down a windows machine.

    Ahh Ok, gotcha

I do the same when trying certain things, only I just use Acronis Try And Decide. XP mode probably the better way way though ..

Im curious how effective thier AV solution is really going to be.

    For anybody who is interested:
    1. Acronis Antivirus 2010: .
    2. Acronis Internet Security Suite 2010:
    3. Acronis Backup and Security 2010:

As far as I know it uses Bitdefender AV engine...

Personally I am not interested on AV from Acronis
