    Conficker instant eye - chart

    http://www.confickerworkinggroup.org/infection_test/cfeyechart.html said:
Conficker (aka Downadup, Kido) is known to block access to over 100 anti-virus and security websites.

If you are blocked from loading the remote images in the first row of the top table above (AV/security sites) but not blocked from loading the remote images in the second row (websites of alternative operating systems) then your Windows PC may be infected by Conficker (or some other malicious software).

If you can see all six images in both rows of the top table, you are either not infected by Conficker, or you may be using a proxy server, in which case you will not be able to use this test to make an accurate determination, since Conficker will be unable to block you from viewing the AV/security sites.

That's pretty good if it's accurate, it means I am all good as I can see all the images, thanks John :)

It is accurate - that is one of the reasons Downadup was hard to get rid of - it knew where you'd go looking and pre-blocked those sites.

Check HiJack log sites and read up on Downadup....one of the more effective Anti-malware site blocking methods used.

I see all of them to, but the top of the chart is a bit blurry. I guess I flunked then and need glasses.

    The DOWNAD / Conficker Worm

April 1 has come and gone…
    • The good news: We had no reports of new major infections as a result of Conficker.
    • The bad news: While we can’t predict specific behavior for Conficker, we know it is creating a large botnet of infected PCs so that cybercriminals may at some point send spam, steal personal information (user IDs, passwords, credit card info, etc.) and direct users to malicious websites used for phishing or downloading malware. We also know that there are still infected machines across the world which will continue to attempt to recruit additional PCs into this botnet. The DOWNAD / Conficker Worm - Trend Micro USA
I guess I'm in the clear since it took longer to load the eye exam page then to post this!

Good here too. Thanks for posting that John, beat me to it.

PCTools sent me an email directing me to the Conficker Working Group Site , including that chart.
