NOD32 is the only AV I have ever continued to use. I've tried others but always went back. Never had a single problem with NOD32.
Fair enough, but its now unnecessary - MSE has everything you need or will use for nothing.
I also like MSE, but after reading numerous reviews, they always say avast and nod32 are still better than it? =\
Make up your own mind - they are just reviews.

    IMHO, they both suck.

    Reason:
While MSE may be good at detecting viruses, but not spywares, adwares and other malwares. Its backed up by Microsoft's weak engine which is used by windows defender as well. It doesnt really makes sense if MSE detects viruses and leaves keyloggers, spywares, etc. on the PC. Also, 60-75 MB RAM when idle, excuse me!

I had been an ESET fan for 2 yrs but lately, I have noticed that the detections and removal capabilities of ESET is diminishing day by day..
If you need an evidence about ESET failing to remove virus, click here: ESET failing
At times, ESET tries to take control over your PC, which no one likes. I have been using ESET from 2007-2009 but I will pass it this year.

Most who use it back it up with Malwarebytes, so that is a non-issue. I wouldn't trust Norton to tell me my PC is clean.

One test, so what? Do you deliberately go onto random sites to get spyware?

You can't decide based on 1 test. You'll get different results everywhere. NOD32 caused slow-down, AVAST hasn't

Look how poorly Symantec did in this one.

@ Dinesh: how does NOD32 try to take control of your computer? I have never seen or heard anything like this. If it wasn't for the notice it gives once it's updated, I wouldn't even know it's there.

Not what a standard user would do - so MSE is still a valid option.
