    oh yes !

    i used the free version before i got a license for the full (paid) version.

    a-squared (a2) is very good at detecting, better than malwarebytes antimalware (MBAM).

    a good antivirus-program with realtime-protection, fx. Avira / Avast / MSE in combination

A squared antispyware
in System Security

Installed it today and scanned it on a win7 pc. Works well with vipre AV. when running a full system scan, used almost 100mb RAM. 27288 when idle, it uses aroung 13 mb RAM. 27290 very good at detection and removal.
