Bitdefender has very slow on-demand scanner i think
You think, go do some research on it before you put an opinion on something which is most like a guess... Bitdefender came out as #1 AV on many sites... and kaspersky came second, they both or either first or second on most sites... and the scanner is not "very slow on-demand scanner" I know for a fact you never used it...
chillax man....i used Bitdefender before..and compared to avast..Bitdefender do have slower scanning speed..My bad for the used of the word "very"..but look at this attachment..at section "scanning speed"..both free AV like avast and avira have better scanning speed than Bitdefender..
i code mostly in asm / c. i understand the woes of x64 and even more into the idiosyncrasy of the differnet architectures
malware of type II and III can easily "bypass" patchguard. Plus PG was designed to keep legal programs from acting like rootkits. Not to detect malicious code --- keep the robots doing what robots do best
Mircosoft has pg in place to stop the AV vendors from using the same kernel hooking techniques that malware and rootkits use! Forcing them to document there techniques is only helping the rootkit makers
For the most part once it gains access to the kernel, its the supreme ruler of the land. Not always the case since the AV vendor is using the same or similar hooking technique
Do not stop guys, let your inputs pour in ;-)
