    In what country was that?
Downloading legal torrents is 'legal' and if you use uTorrent it's 'legal'. What's illegal is downloading 'illegal' torrents.
How do you expect to get 'Ubuntu' if it's a legal download.
Facts only please on this subject don't make them up as you go!

@Kitji you have not said anything wrong as of yet. But please watch what you do say.
You need to open a port in your security softwar. In utorrent click the help button that will help you along.

@everyone...Don't get me started on this subject again. Please read up on your laws in your own country.Every country has differing laws.

germany. Since there was a discussion on a other forum about this, were one guy said that download to was illegal since 09, i extra googled it and at least for germany its correct. Well not the big difference, since uploading was actually illegal the whole time. U could how ever minimize ur crime by keeping upload rates down, now it wont matter if you keep ur upload high or not. All countries may have theyre own laws on this, but iŽd say: whenever youre using something like bittorrent, emule or utorrent, u should always be aware that it CAN concern you still somehow in any way, since it also depends on what youre loading actually has a license(yet) or not etc.

Thats why I say: when using torrents, be aware that u can be busted at any time and also no matter how you look at it, there will always be people and companys who are not pleased at all if you download theyre stuff via torrents.

So you can't upload anything and you can't download anything? So, how is it you are communicating?
So you mean torrents right. So 'legal' torrents are illegal in Germany?

I dont think legal torrents like free stuff are illegal. Well actually based on what I know, you can even download films, games or movies legally. If you posses and original of it. If you have an original your free to download it and install it, play it etc. via torrents. This also goes for music, programms and actually everything. If the guys from BKA(BundesKriminalAmt does stuff like busting hackers or illegal downloaders in germany)come to "visit" you, and find that you have an original of everything you downloaded its okay. If not of course youre busted and usually have to pay high feeŽs for the stuff you downloaded illegaly when caught the first time, except you have probation of course. If you youre caught more often, you can even go to jail, but youŽll get a probation before going to jail of course.

And yes until 2009 it really was so that downloading "llegal" stuff still was no crime, but only uploading it. With the claim that those who seed these uploads actually are the criminals, which is in my oppinion, and probably in many others oppinion in germany to, stupid, since uploading or downloading illegal stuff is actually the same.
