You know what's interesting? There's but one mention of Trend Micro in this thread.
Just an observation.

It's probably not the best, but I use AVG 8.5 Free. When I do questionable web surfing, it's always from a Linux box VM

VMWare has a browser tool. It's Ubuntu cut down to just Firefox.

Thanks. I'm really a Linux guy by nature as much as Windows. So, I have needs for Linux that are for more than just web browsing.

I'm using kaspersky internet security. kaspersky is always running and is the best antivirus i have ever used or seen. i also use pc tools spyware doctor. i just run that occasionally to scan. one security product just doesn't catch everthing no matter how highly it's rated. but the combo i have seems to kick virus butt.

i'm not going to say it's the best, coz i haven't tried them all , but i do like kaspersky 2010

i've been using KIS for three/four years, and i haven't been let down yet.

i even got 3 free licences because i use barclays online banking (in the uk).

i am interested in MSE though, and will do some research.

does MSE = morro?
