I´m testing NIS 2009 for 30 days. Too many things to configure, some that not everyone knows what is (Me ) and i did not notice performance loss. I believe I am well protected anyway I will test others posted here and see what the best for my daily use.
Avira Free Anti Virus,
works fine on WIN7, (Not only) and has one of the best virus recognition engine, also virus database is one of the best
All language versions from Avira Download Servers
I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials, it found on my External HDD, some virus that my Kaspersky and AVG detected.
I'm using McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.7i with Patch2, seems to do the trick nicely :)
I have been without an AV for months now. I have done some on-line scans and found no problems. However I need to get back in the habit.
Is Avast still working good for Windows 7? I have liked Avast in the past.
According to Avast version 4.8 is certified for Win 7 avast! antivirus earns the Windows 7 logo
As for me I'm using AVG Free Edition version 9.0.698 and have noticed no issues with Win 7 thus far.
Right now I am using and tying out avast! I was using AVG Free before but though Id give avast! a go by reading the other posts. I do like the AVG interface and not so much of the avast! but avast! has good features.
