Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 ftw. Had a rough start with it but I've fixed the problem and it is working flawlessly.

i use a really good method. It involved the following:
10-15 bricks
A good size bag of cement.
Around one hour of your life.
Now, this is the hardest part. Bascially you build yourself a wall around your pc. Quite unique. Now look at following picture. This is my construction, with a build in sandbox.

No! No! No! I really hate to jump in with the no's, but I used it (on build 7000) and it crashed my computer constantly. It's annoying, freezes easily, and warns you about things that aren't even there. I'm sure it works great for you, Julio, but it doesn't work for me. :)
As for the things that do work (for me), I use AVG Free. It's free, stable, and it works. That's really all I can ask for.
Feel free to try anything!
you should find out what triggers that freezes, resources probably? and for things that aren't even there, I told you to befriend the settings. since we're using the same build of windows 7, I wish that what I've been experiencing with kasperskyTPW7 is no different to what you've been having.
I was a great lover of ESet security, in fact we still us eit on everything at work but it seemed to break when ever i upgraded my W7 install.
I now use Avast (thanks to this forum) and that seems to be better and handles the upgrades without issues (for me).
Went form 7077 to 7100 without even disabling it.
