Avast - letting program through real time protection

    Hi all

I was wondering if anyone one knows how I let a web based program through the real time scan.

I am paying for livedata for the stockmarket. This runs through java script in my web browser and avast is causing this data to be delayed as it is busy doing its protection thing. (real time scans on all data) This problems seems to only be with the latest version

What i want to do is exempt avast from scanning the live data. The only solution i have found is to turn the whole real time scans off and then turn it back on.

    any ideas

    cheers

    hi........try this
    Open avast!
    Click on REAL-TIME SHIELDS
Click on Web Shield, click on the Expert Settings button
Click on Exclusions, pres the F1 key to get help with exclusions:

On this page you can specify URLs and MIME types that should not be scanned by the Web Shield.

    thanks for the advice guys.

I have added the url to the excursion list. I don't think this is going to work as the url changes every time i log in. i won't know until tomorrow if it works.

the good thing avast seems to be onto it. I have added my comments to the thread about the issue.

i will let everyone know tomorrow after market open if it slows data.

    thanks again
