Please keep in mind, there is no perfect anti-virus. If I had to pick a free A/V I would use MSE. I don't use one web site or test to come to this conclusion. Many reviews by many. The one you choose and works great might not work well for you next time you update the program. It's something that one has to watch and keep up with.

The most difficult question that there may be this. Actually there is NOT an antivirus perfect, that is 100%. Whenever people ask me what the best antivirus I always recommend three, MSE, Avira and Avast are free, paid not recommend because many have no desire to spend money to see it, think up this idiocy, but each with their choices.

For me at the moment, the MSE is the best antivirus, among free.

I work @ the geeksquad and while some of the AV sold there is effective, I can't say I've found a perfect AV yet.

Usually, malwarebytes gets things out pretty fast :P

I have been useing(Testing)Microsoft Security Essentials for about a month. My computer was acting quite sluggish so i did the online ESET Antivirus Software scan and it came up with 5 trojans/virus. Since the Microsoft Security Essentials did not pick up anything i went back to my previous Anti-virus software ESET Antivirus Software.
