I think you can get rid of spybot at this point. Wont add to comodo or avira and increases the chances of a conflict in the future.

Haven't used Spybot in ages. Substitute Malwarebytes, and now you're talking

Use Microsoft Security Essentials, along with Windows Firewall and Malwarebytes. Common sense helps a lot too:)

If you choose to rely on MSE, do yourself a favor and surf from a SUA if your not already.

The best anti-virus will vary from year to year given results from sites like AV-Comparatives:

AV-Comparatives - Independent Tests of Anti-Virus Software - Welcome to AV-Comparatives.org

Given that, you will have to stick with what you paid for during the year, after which you can decide to renew. The same goes for anti-malware and firewalls.

If you're look for something free, then you can probably look at any free version of the best-ranked software for anti-virus, firewall, and other categories. From there, you can decide to uninstall and switch to a free version of another program if it is ranked better the following year.

As of today, i will proclaim MSE 4 the winner.
That is if you use a LUA / SUA and the mighty Sandboxie.

I know what a LUA is (Limited User Account), but what do you mean by SUA? That's the name for the Unix Subsystem Components of Windows 7 and 2008R2, but I'm sure that isn't what you mean.

I leave UAC enabled, use my regular account, use MSE, use Google Chrome and I don't surf for illegal software, serial numbers, key generators, hacks/activation tools, and I don't use p2p applications. I don't experience any issues at all. MSE and MalwareBytes are always 100% clean.

Test your anti-malware/anti-virus protection with EICAR
As many of you know(quite a few don't) what EICAR is, this is a open poll to see what programs pick it up and what programs fail the basic tests. I am conducting this poll because A-Squared failed to see this on a scan, but MSE picked it up before it could be downloaded. So after you take...
