    I'd recommend Norton.

If you're going to pay for a security suite, then go with either Kaspersky or Avira Premium Security Suite.

I'll go with jacee on Kaspersky. Never used Avira.

I use Avira Premium Security Suite on two of my computers. I've never used Kaspersky.

    panais,

If you haven't see it yet, BitDefender published a KB article to aid their customers in recovering from this f/p. See False Positive on X64 systems with BitDefender 2010.

The damage for me is done, nothing can fix it.
    The question now is....
INSTALL AGAIN MY PAID BITDEFENDER OR CONTINUE WITH OTHER AVIS?

I am sorry to hear that you were one of those affected by the f/p, panais. I advise you to follow the instructions in the KB article, including the patch. Antivirus Support & Malware Database | BitDefender Consumer Support

Sadly, BitDefender is not the only a/v that has had problems of this nature, although as consumers we would expect more careful testing. Repair your computer first and then decide, if trust in Bit Defender hasn't been completely lost. You can install an interim free A/V and then consider other products. Most paid A/V software programs have a trial period, which would provide you with an opportunity to determine which program best suits your needs. Just remember, if your version of Bit Defender included a software firewall that you need to activate the Windows 7 software firewall in the Action Center until you make a final decision.

(Rest assured, members here will tell you what their favorite software programs is. )

Especially, considering you have a BitDefender licence I suggest you give it another chance. All av programs have their problems from time to time (although, usually not as severe as this).

It's up to you. BitDefender is a strong contender but after this you may not want to trust it again.
