I'm just curious, registering those dlls worked for you?

And to answer your question, yes, it's fine. Here's an explanation of what it does. You can deactivate it if you have no use for it:

The pdvdserv.exe process is used by your computer to allow the use of an infrared remote to control your DVD drive (as though it were a normal DVD player). If you disable this process, your infrared remote control will no longer be able to control your DVD Drive.
pdvdserv.exe is an application that does NOT appear to be a security risk
The Process Server database currently registers pdvdserv.exe to Cyberlink software.
    This is part of PowerDVD.

brs.exe deals with Blu-ray security (Region codes, AACS, BD+, .......)

Description: File brs.exe is located in a subfolder of "C:\Program Files". The file size on Windows XP is 91,432 bytes.

There is no file information. The file is a Verisign signed file. File brs.exe is certified by a trustworthy company. The file is not a Windows core file. The program is not visible.
