This is AVG Pro - and MSE does not fair that well either. It is from the latest AV report.

i dont just rely on one program i use a layered sercurity method and when people said that norton was crap i used it and it was good so i think the same to AVG and the free version fails since it does not have anit-rootkit which in needed.
I am happy that AVG is working for ya. I might have to try it out to see how I like it.
Also, I have learned the hard way that debating about anti-virus software is worse than discussing religion and politics. I rarely see someone change another person's opinion of their faithful app.
That's because there's quite a few good choices out there today... So we all end up with a favorite. I personally have become a NIS2010 fan and have never been satisfied with any of the free products. To each his own.
In the past few months I've moved all of my clients there and would guess that calls related to malware/viruses has been reduced 75%.

I used AVG Internet Security for a long time and was very happy with it. But when my subscription ran out and I decided to give the free side a try with MSE. I have to say I'm definitely not disappointed just using MSE, Windows Firewall, and MBAM. People are always going to have their favorites when it comes to AV programs. However, as many have stated, the best defense, is purely COMMON SENSE.

No Problems!!!!
well you know how people reckon some are better than others it all come down to the virus defintions that the product has at the time.
