    Is this 2 fast


    Avast 5 finshed a schulded scan in 31.35 and tested 143616 and 71.98GB

    is that 2 fast?

    Oh it was a full scan as well

    31.35 minutes with that much data? Now that's fast... Avast has always been a fast AV scanner...

    Not for me.

    ~40 min on a full system scan.

    EDIT: BTW I used to get ~7 min with Avira.

    it's very good. avast! is a great free scanner. You have nothing to worry about

    Avast is lighter and uses less resources that MSE

    I have only used Avast! 5 Free briefly but it is not fast.

    It depends on the user what the right av program is but I also recommend Avast! over MSE.

    You can somewhat speed up the full scan if you enable the persistent cache.

    Also speed kind of depends on your hardware. If you have say a corei7 oc'ed, and/or an ssd, a full scan would be that much more faster. Takes me about half that time with about the same amount of data scanned.
