    lsas.blaster.keyloger

My desktop has disappeared into a black hole, something called Security Tool Firewall pops up every two seconds asking me if I really want to continue unprotected (and wants to charge me a buttload of money if I don't), apparently everything from my toolbars to my files is infected with lsas.blaster.keyloger, and I can't make my baby's Parry Gripp playlist play on Media Player. <----- Now this is truly an emergency.

I googled the whatever cannot execute failed whatever message that comes up when I try to play Media Player and found some free Windows 7 scanner thing, but according to Security Tool, IT is infected with keyloger and when I try to download and run it, it just disappears to some unknown place.

I don't know what to do, I'm just an average person with a basic knowledge of computer stuff, I know how to use it and that's it.

    Can somebody please help!!!

I can't believe people are still installing this fake antivirus virus. I had to remove it from 2 friends computers after I had already warned them in advance.

I can. It is designed to look authentic and fool the user into thinking the system itself is suggesting the fix. Also there is no packet of information given to users when they purchase a computer telling them how to avoid virii or that their anti-virus is going to expire in 30 days.....

Edit: more off-on topic, welcome to SevenForums. I hope Malwarebytes can resolve the issue. I hate these pay-for-fix scammers.

It took "rkill" to stun it and stopzilla to keep it from running rampant on my computer anymore. All the spy doctors, mbams, malwares, etc... had no effect on it. I knew my antivirus was temporary and as soon as I got it home my husband put avast on it, I not knowing anything about this stuff took his word that would keep it safe. Neither of us is an expert in this, as we have kids, jobs, other activities and we can't devote all of our time to knowing computer technology inside out.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions, searching around and trying them was what led to the finding of rkill so you all were extremely helpful. I hope someone else who runs into this googles the same stuff I did and finds this thread and gets their problem solved.
