Thank you all for your great help here. I knew I wasn't mistaken posting this thread here.

And to edee and stillfreefilms - I could care less about all those "senior" members with their thumb up their ***. Arrogant and sarcastic replies are ones which should be ignored and not be given even the slightest attention.
Try super anti spyware.. I have been using it for nearly a year and had no problems ... by the way most of us here came from XP or Vista and getting involved in a Win 7 forum is beneficial to you when you ready to make the move that's my own opinion .. good luck.

Sandboxie now available for Win 7 64 bit at Sandboxie - Download Sandboxie
I used it when I had Vista Home Premium 32 bit and it's and nice added protection to you system besides the one between your ears.

    I use this combination:

    -Malwarebytes- malwarebytes
-SuperantiSpyware - SUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!
-SpywareBlaster - SpywareBlaster | Prevent spyware and malware. Free download.
    -SpywareGuard - SpywareGuard

This may seem like a lot of apps for just spyware but the only one that runs real time is spywareguard and it's really lite on your system resources. Why not run some extra protection if it isn't going to slow you down. I run this combo on all my systems.

I personally like the combination of Comodo and malware bits. YOu can find them both at download.com or cnet.com they are the same place. both great programs and both have very high customer ratings. the new comodo had a built in sandbox feature if your familar with sandboxie then you might get excited about that. they are both free, comodo also has a great firewall built in. I recamend you do the full install of comodo and let it do its magic.
I just downloaded Comodo on Monday and did a right click on icon and enabled
SANDBOXIE and my computer shut down. Rebooted and everything is fine.
Is sandboxie set to run in Windows 7 HP 64 bit?
How do know(see) if it is running?
I ddint look into it running on 64bit since im running 32bit but all i did was set it up thru comodo to just automatically put particular programs into sandbox when they are started up. a pop up on bottom right of screen will show that the program was put into sandbox

Just wanted to let everyone know that after having SpywareGuard installed on my system for about a month I noticed that it never updated. The last definition update for this software is 2004 rendering it somewhat useless.

I decided to dump both SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard. I just replaced my hosts file with a new one from here.

What about a-squared? (I don't use it myself but others believe it is the best.)
