Same here with Sandboxie :) (all my browsers). This one is really a keeper (cheap too at >$40 lifetime license) :) Used Macrium Reflect way back 2007 but now I am using ATI Home 2011. Very nice strategy (and system backup gear) there and I agree system image restore is best way..no fuss solution whatsoever.

    Cheers :)

At the same time I first install Comodo v3.8 I also discovered Sandboxie on the Comodo Forum and I became so confident with Sandboxie's level of protection that I no longer use Antivirus software.

Just the other day I installed a program with a lot of codecs and when I decided that I didn't want the program on my computer I did a quick Reflect re-image of my Intel 320 SSD from the LaCie Raid 0 esata HDD and a few minutes later I was ready to roll again with no trace of that program that was acting up.

COMODO Internet Security 5.8.202876.2065 BETA has been out early this month. If you are interested in testing it you can. I am using it in a W7 x32 system and compared to Online Armor Premium 5.1 Beta this is lighter and produces less pop-ups.

If you have a previous configuration of CIS exported somewhere you can just import your settings into it.

    (Lifted from Comodo forums)
The most important features of this BETA are related to HIPS and AV. So the most valuable bugs are the REPRODUCIBLE bugs which are related to system stability issues, compatibility issues, and crashes.
    New in 5.8.202801.2064:

NEW! Antivirus base size has been reduced drastically: This affects CIS performance and resource consumption as well
NEW! HIPS now has further improvements on 64 bit operating systems
NEW! Simple installer with 1-click installation experience
IMPROVED! Look and feel of the icons so that it is easier on the eyes
IMPROVED! CAV "Clean" button no longer deletes files but quarantines instead
FIXED! Firewall does not filter bluetooth adapters: pls reinstal CIS to see the effects
FIXED! Summary shows wrong menus whenclicked on state links

    Known Issues:
This BETA still has problems in non-english languages.

If you have CIS running in your system and want to test this beta version it might be a good idea to do a clean install.

    Just sharing:)

Can this be attributed to your using the Comodo Sandbox technology?

Well, it may very well be the case. I recently removed OA 5.1 Beta and tested CIS's and boy was I glad! The slowness I was seeing since the new OA beta version came out was uncomfortable. When I installed CIS beta all zippiness came back. It installed fast too as compared to CIS ver5.4 and ver5.5. Had a couple of FP's but all was submitted and cleared by Comodo Support.

If this will be the way for Comodo then I'll eagerly await ver6 with full virtualization.

    Still testing though

Windows Firewall (default) is good for basic firewall protection. Of course a router with a good built-in hardware firewall would be much better.

I think MSE is great and use it along with Avast Antivirus. They work great together.

You should be fine though as long as you stay away from dodgy sites.
But why use two antiviruses at the same time wont this cause any conflicts?

    Thabs,

Back then when that was posted, they worked great together. However, they may work great together for some, and not so well for others now.

I hope that you are aware that CIS v5.8.206694.2075 is a Beta release not to be confused with the soon to be released final version of CIS v5.8 on the Comodo Forums
