Nortons has improved drasticly from back in the day. Its alot lighter to. And the Sonar picks up just about everything. People use to dis Nortons because of its memory hoggish ways. Those days are gone. And i remember when it wouldnt really pick up certain malware. That was back in the 2007 or 08. Now it picks up everything. Nortons is good again.

Norton 2011 has been released, unoficially. Official release 'within weeks'. Trial gold release links can be found in places.

NIS/NAV 2011 released for all current subscribers. I guess the 'leaks' forced their hand.

    Just upgraded.

So far I like the new UI, especially the look of the new gadget :)

Only 1 small issue so far with my upgrade:

For everyone else that just upgraded and uses a SSD for your OS don't forget to turn off the Idle Time Optimizer (aka Windows defrag)

Mine has always been off, but for some reason with the upgrade it was turned back on.

It may have just been an odd thing on my end, but I thought it would be worth mentioning.

You might mention this issue in the Norton Community forums - it's a design flaw and someone should tell them that if they didn't notice it themselves.

I have Norton IS 2010 on my computer right now, and my subscription is about to expire. Could I buy Norton IS 2010 again for sale somewhere like TheEgg $30, then change my key code in my current software to the new one, then just download 2011 from norton and upgrade for free? I would save $20 over the upgrage price of $50.
