there is a BIG difference between GRC & CLT.
GRC tests INCOMING, CLT tests for leaks = OUTGOING connections.

Search Google for 'Matousec HIPS' and have a look here:

There are quite a few other problems with the tests, such as testing Mamutu. WTF? It is solely a behaviour blocker.

comodo wrote the test program, no surprise it passes the test.

for more independent discussions on comodo and their other 'security' products as well as other competinbg firewalls see wilders security forum. they discuss the equally suspect matousec tests.

leak tests do not necessarily show how good a firewall is, many of the so-called leak vulnerabilities have never been used in real life attacks, or are impractical to use in an attack.

p.s. - i am of course a bit prejudiced, my outpost firewall scored 320/340

GRC does have Lead Test for outgoing.

CarlTR6: yes, i know about Gibsonīs Leak-Test, iīve used it myself.

anyway, i was very tired when i posted, and since polarbear posted a link to
Gibsonīs main page where "Shields up" is mentioned, i (wrongly ?) assumed that polarbear meant that test,
which is for INCOMING connections.

last night i discovered that it must be something wrong with Comodoīs Firewall & Defence+, running CLT i only got 180/340 points myself !

i created a new thread about it: https://www.sevenforums.com/system-security/87225-security-problem-comodo-s-firewall-defence.html

Win 7 firewall fails leak test
I ran "Leak Test"(from GRC Research)on windows 7 and it fails. The test penetrated the Windows 7 firewall. How big a threat is this? I have used Zone Alarm and Comodo in the past but was hoping the 7 firewall would be adequate now. Any thoughts?

Comodo DNS
A while back, I had COMODO Firewall installed on my laptop. I had it enabled with COMODO DNS servers. It has been uninstalled from my computer now for months and today I stumbled upon a bad website and a message in the browser window came up saying COMODO DNS servers blocked that website. Is a part...

Hi Guys, Just recently got a Powercolor HD 5850 gpu , and have ran a test on the latest Passmark performance test benchmarking software. It seems about right on the 3d score with around 2200 But the 2d score is very low at around 320 Is this normal?
