I was told the free version does not do much compared to the pay version. Is this true. I would hate to have the program tell me I have threats but then not remove them unless I pay.
    MattDamonisdumb,
Refer to the link below to see what each version offers.
Yes the free version is a good program to have.

A paid version will always offer more "bells & whistles" than the free.
Suffice to say I happily used the free version successfully for years.
[I was sufficiently impressed & decided to get the paid version which I use on 2 computers.]

SuperAntiSpyware is a good app to use in combination with Malwarebytes. I find that one usually finds a couple of items that the other one does not. SAS usually finds tracking cookies where as Malwarebytes does not.

Malwarebytes alone sufficient to me. Haven't found any threat to upgrade my protection so far.

I use Malwarebytes and Hitman pro for on demand protection.

Do you need to update your signature, Dinesh?

I just use Hitman Pro for on-demand scans, these days but if I suspect it and Norton has failed to detect something, I'll use SUPERAntiSpyware Portable Scanner before anything else.

I'll give my vote to the use of SuperAntiSpyware, I used to use the free version when I was using WinME and when first using XP but then decided to pay for it, which gives the option to run in real time.

I find it works very well alongside the free version of MalwareBytes, Avast and the Windows firewall behind a secure router.

That is on the XP machine and as the license is for one machine when I got my Vista machine and installed Windows 7 I paid for a copy of MalwareBytes to run alongside MSE, Windows Firewall and router.

Both machines also have SpywareBlaster installed on them.

SAS and MAM work so good I'm surprised there on demand are still free.
