OK, Lets try something else first, go to control panel, uninstall a program,

Like I showed you in this post

AVG Search Toolbar ?

And look for AVG in that list, click on it to highlight then click the uninstall button on the top.

Is it asking you if you want to remove your settings?

If so, since you are not happy with the settings (which is why you are uninstalling) check yes to remove user settings.

derekimo I am having trouble removing toolbar it has secure search on the browser firefox settings do you have a screenshot of the toolbar which should be removed?

Sorry no I don't,

Since I don't use AVG or firefox, my help is going to be limited.

For the time being I would strongly recommend the repair install method posted by Corrine.

By using this method you will remove the toolbar and repair your AVG settings.

I did uninstall and reinstalled fine I want to know if avg toolbar is called secure search and want some setup assist if you know anyone in the forum who uses AVG 9 Please tell em to assist me

If you reinstalled didn't you uncheck the box for the toolbar so it wouldn't be installed?
