Thank you. I'm a little relieved. I was thinking that if it is not genuine, I can always reinstall Vista Home Premium back because that was the original operating system that came with the laptop before the seller upgrade it.

    Cheers,

    No problem.

As you are new to the forum I thought you might like to know how to mark threads as solved as well as the uses of some of the other buttons.

To the top right of this post you will see 3 icons. An orange (+), a set of scales and a red and white warning triangle.

The orange (+) or blue (-) denotes whether a user is on or offline (orange = on, blue = off).

The scales are used to give rep points; click this button if someone has helped you significantly or solved your queries (only give this to posts that you think really deserve it).

The red and white warning triangle is used to denote either an abusive post OR to mark a thread as solved (just put solved in the box that comes up and the admins or moderators will mark it solved).

Be sure to mark this thread solved when you feel that we've completely removed all doubt from your mind that your PC is running genuine software or if it isn't when we've done our best to try and help you make it a legitimate PC.

Thank you for the information Oli. May I ask how do I mark a thread as solved? I looked but can't find the options for it. I see no options to resolve a thread from the thread tools as well.

    Thanks,

    Hi, Gnimble.

Click on the red triangle in the right corner of your post and type "solved" in the message box. One of the Moderators will add the green check.

Thank you Corrine, I thought that was for reporting if a post is offensive. I guessed it has two uses. Reporting it as solved now.

    Cheers,
