    Is there a KB... reference for this upgrade - so I can check status on a few places that use MSE across their network :)

    Thank you Mr Birthday Boy

    I've got one location where a few new vista systems have been installed - lots of KB's going through at once so having the KB number makes it easier to filter the update logs

    I like easier

    Okay cool. I only ask because one time I had Norton get exploited with a popup and then it was uninstalled.

    Nah, you're safe with this update. It's directly from MS.

    I don't get any results for KB2254596.

    The Definition change log from the Microsoft Malware Protection Center does show the current MSE Engine Version as 1.1.5902.0.

    To check your version, click the down arrow next to Help and select "About Microsoft Security Essentials".

    Definition version

    Antispyware: 1.85.967.0
    Definition available date (?)
    Jun 28, 2010 01:36 PM UTC

    Engine version
    1.1.5902.0

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    Edit 1: Where did all those posts come from after Barman58's reply? Reminder to self: type faster. lol
    Edit 2: So much for the Engine Version I posted. That doesn't match what was released.
    Here's Donna's blog post about the update: http://msmvps.com/blogs/donna/archiv...available.aspx
