    MSE ERROR!!! x64

    Hi guys!

Trying to install microsoft security essentials on home premium x64 and I keep getting file corrupt when I try to open and install the file.
Even if I save instead of open and run as admin.

    Any thoughts??

    Cheers

Did you download from here? http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Did you have another Anti-virus before trying to install MSE?

I agree. Download it from there ONLY. Then I would uninstall and then reinstall the program again.

Have you tried downloading other apps to see if they become corrupt as well? If other downloads become corrupt then it's most likely a bad memory stick. If not then as others have stated it's probably the source file.

Yes I dowloaded from there, and no there are no other anti virus programs.

    Done a re-install and it's working now.

    But thanks anyway :)
