My parents stupidly enough also fell into this sort of scam, they rang and said it was running slow, they connected remotely through a port on the web browser or something (not Teamviewer) and installed Malwarebytes and asked for £70, however there were no side effects and didn't pay.

Best way to deal with them is to tell them you're going to boot your computer, put the phone down but don't disconnect it then go and have a nice, hot drink while they fume at the other end of the line.

    Teamviewer.com Scam

Caught a kid on my sons Xbox Live Party Chat tonight

all of his friends from school... + one (kid) who was trying to sell them all on going to this website and downloading the package for free Mod Warfare 3 game hacks.

Then I jumped on. Story Over

The 18-25 yr old got very beligerent, I jumped him and he logged off quickly.
Watch what your kids are doing on xbox, if my son would have logged on to our home computer and dowloaded this worm, we would be sabotaged.

Its that easy folks, and these kids are too gullible.

Im watching out for mine and his friends, do the same.

Peace to those who would steal from me, for my vengenance has no fury, like the lord my god. But if the lord lets me get to them first,....so be it !

You are welcome. I get about a call every couple of months here. Not sure if it has reached California yet but it's best to be prepared.

Do as the admin did, string them along, act dumb then say you use Ubuntu.

You can get an idea upfront with the autodialler delay at the call center.
If you are really bored you can have some fun.
The claimed MS affiliates asked me to check errors in the event viewer which of course they had to explain in detail how to get into. By the time I told them my system hadn't recorded any warnings never mind errors ever, it was time to hang up.
