Yes you should, but only the one you sure not needed. But if you set the router to high security , they might not be open. Only the needed services will be.

When you say set the router to high security, does that mean MAC filtering and Wireles WPA2 or is there more? Sorry if I'm making you repeat yourself. Too many irons in the fire.

Glennc, You should have the options in the config page of your router to set it at least to three level of security.

-High
-Moderate
-Low
-Personalize.

Mac filtering doesn't really matter, it serves to computers being recognized within the network (i have checked "activated" the box in my router page).
Wireless WPA2 is what you set with your key to connect.

Howdy NoN,
I don't see any level of protection in the router setup. I've read the book that I downloaded for that model and it has false statements of configuration in it. But I have looked at every option of ever option and didn't see any. Confused or blind! Will try again. Thanks
