    theme changing!!!!

    hi everybody !!!

since i installed windows 7, i've been having problems with the theme changing whenever i switch on the computer

sometimes it works alright, but most of the time i get windows basic theme (the boring one )

so then i have to go to control panel everytime this happens to change it and the system performance is not as good as it suposed to be

but the confusing bit that it doesnt happen all the time !!!!!!!!!

    hope u understand my problem!!!

Hi Mohuk and welcome to sevenforums.

First of all did you do a upgrade? if yes, that might be the problem you should always do a clean installl for every build.

You could try to do a clean install, then it should work probably.

And also could you post the specs of your computer? So we can confirm it isnt because of the hardware

    and one more thing,
You could also first try to download and install ALL UPDATES from Windows Update, you might just need a driver for som' graphics on ya computer.

This could be system performance. I don't know your specs but my minimal system did this sort of thing once or twice. I think it was because (in my case) it's a P4 system with 512MB of ram with onboard video that just meets the minimum requirements. You might think about this. It could be all or part of the problem.

No, try to install the updates (If there are any) and see if it happens again...

I would go with the lads saying you need to perform a clean installation. Could you also fill in your system details so we can ascertain if it it's hardware related. Top of the page you will see usercp go there and fill in your details. I would hazard a guess and say it's because you upgraded rather than clean install.
