Trying to Change back my windows 7 Icons back to default

    Ok, after all these posts I think you actually had it right in the first place but they fooled you with their picture.

    The 'Windows Defualt' option changed my icons back to the default ones for Windows 7 (even though it shows a picture of vista in the screen). Do you have any icons that look like Vista or are you basing it off of the picture of Vista in IconPackager?

    I have the vista Icons. I tried to use disk cleanup because last time I did that it worked but for some reason it isn't working anymore which is quite strange . I will show you a picture. I am getting confused which icon is which.

    Follow this tutorial: Control Panel View - Category or Icons

    And then compare images on your PC with the ones in the tutorial to see if it's fixed

    Still not working?!

    yeah it is working but you see when I drag some files to desktop look how it looks. That isnt how windows 7 icons look.

    Hmm... I'm quite surprised nobody else has jumped in on this thread.

    Maybe you could try a system restore to a point before you installed IconPackager?
