Windows 7: Aero Theme visually similar to Classic Theme

Aero Theme visually similar to Classic Theme

I am currently using the Classic theme and I know this disables the Aero extensions and I know that if I want those extensions, I must use an Aero theme.
However, I like the classic theme because it uses less screen space for many items when compared to the default aero theme (well, at least I think so).
I know many don't like the quite "dated" look of the classic theme, but I happen to like it a lot as I've been used to it for a long time now and so feel "at home" when using it.
Now that I have Windows Seven installed, I'm willing to play a bit with the Aero effects but without loosing what are, to my eyes, the advantages of the Classic Theme.
So, I'm wondering if there was a theme somewhere that would be an Aero theme but still gives a very similar look to what the Classic theme gives.

Does anyone know of such a theme?

I do not know if it will work for you but go to
Control Panel \Personalization \ Window Color & untick Enable Transparency

Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

Sorry if this is illegal necroposting but I thought I would share the fruits of my efforts to make Windows 7 desktop look and behave like my old and sadly missed classic-themed XP. I have tried to include every step in a sensible order. I think the URLs seem safe and legit and I thoroughly virus-scanned all the downloads before I ran them on my system. All seems OK but don't blame me...!

- Lock the taskbar: on

Run UxStyle_Core_Jul13_x64.msi (installs a service "Unsigned Themes")
***Use at your own risk! Since posting, I have read about problems this causes during Windows updates. Google it.

Aero Theme changed to Classic
My mom restarted my computer and the taskbar has turned to classic. An error message popped up, but she closed it and I can't seem to find it. When I try to change it back to my Aero theme, all the Aero themes are grayed out, and the only themes I can choose are the classic themes. When I...

I have W7 on a laptop and I want an Aero theme which is as visible as XP. I'm aware of the 'Classic' themes and can supply my own background. This would be OK but to play DVDs for some reason I have to use an Aero theme. The DVD players installed by Toshiba insist on this. The players are far...
