Hello Seds, and welcome to Seven Forums.

It looks like your shortcut arrow overlay icon is using the installation icon instead of the arrow. You could use the program in OPTION TWO of the tutorial below to remove it completely or change it back to the arrow.

Shortcut Arrow - Change, Remove, or Restore

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Try deleting the program shortcut and create a new shortcut. Does the shield icon still appear?

You're most welcome.

The shield icon is to indicate that the program will run elevated (run as administrator) when you run it, and will give you a UAC prompt for you to approve or deny it to be allowed to run elevated first. As far as I know, this icon cannot be removed, or will not be easy to.

I did a few searches on google. This is what i found > Removing the UAC shield icon Some user says that it's possible to get rid of it by making the shield icon transparent. It can be done by editing imageres.dll. But if you're unfamiliar with resource editing tools. Don't do it.
