    The problem:
    Code:
The current video card may support Aero with a driver that is compliant with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM). Contact the manufacturer of your computer or video card for a WDDM-compatible driver.
    I have w7 Home Premium 64-bit
    ASUS Laptop.

Looks like you need to install/update your video card drivers.
It's seeing it as nvidia which is probably correct but you'll need to manually install the newest drivers for proper support.
If you give me the exact model of the laptop I can point you to them.

    Ager,

    Welcome to SevenForums.

Visit the ASUS site and fetch the latest driver for your computer. Fetch the driver from their site and not some generic driver supplier.

If it is nvidia getting it from them directly is also an option.

An option yes, but even nvidia says that one should go to the manufacturer's site. the nvidia site driver is generic where as at the asus site the driver has been tailored to the eec.

lol sorry I just own an asus and have started circumventing them for drivers because they are very slow updating anything that is more than a year old. ...if they ever update it at all.

I have an Asus 1002HA XP. Asus has all of the necessary Win 7 drivers for my netbook. The drivers are up-to-date and function very well.

Guess I'm just lucky. The reason my netbook name has an XP on the end is because originally Asus only supported XP on that model, but now they support Win 7 and provide Win 7 drivers.

I have a striker extreme, striker extreme 2, and striker forumla motherboards.
None of them have proper windows 7 support even though the lesser boards from the same time do
Fortunately the striker extreme are nvidia chipsets or I wouldn't even be able to run windows 7.

Not sure what is going on with that GPUz screen shot showing it as Nvidia graphics when the specs for that model,

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Specification K50AB

show that it has the ATI Mobility HD 4570.
