    Windows Themes Disappeared

I can only use the 'United Kingdom' aero theme from my personalization menu, everything else has disappeared suddenly after i ran 'standard windows' then flipped back to uk and rebooted?????

any advice much appreciated, i dont particularly need them, just confused as to where they are?

    Hello 1944F7PT,

It sounds like the regional themes were unloaded. You could use the tutorial below to double click on the themes you wanted to load and add back to the Personalization window.

    Themes - Regional

    Hope this helps,

Can you do a System Restore to before this happen.

Or try SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker Option two 1st

scan returned no errors and its not just the regional themes that have gone, although that trick got those ones back, i've lost the lot, aero themes, basic and high contrast themes, everything!

Oh my, the whole thing. You can find the .theme files for those at the locations below, and just double click on them as well to add them back to Personalization.

    Theme - Change or Save

    Aero themes:
    C:\Windows\Resources\Themes

    Basic and High Contrast themes:
    C:\Windows\Resources\Ease of Access Themes
