The background bar you have pictured is image #891

Post your .mstyles in a zip folder here and I will look at it and try to determine what your button shadow problem is.

I have downloaded your .mssytles and tried to test it but it crashes my Aero and goes into basic mode in basic and do not see the shadows. When I tested with Windows Style Builder everything looks fine. I have asked this question at a different forum and I am waiting for an answer if I get one I will post it.

    Royale.zip

it'll work in HP,Pro and ultimate versions, earlier .msstyles is for windows basic only.

I just downloaded and installed this one and it did the same thing it crashes my aero I tried restarting the services and it didn't help so there must be something wrong with it. Still waiting for an answer on the other forum.

    Try image # 1010
891 is the default aero #

Which setting do you want changed, I think just text colors and fonts can be changed.

The only way I know how to change color and size of those fonts is using Windows Style Builder Ave's Windows7 Style Builder that way you can add the font and size to the start menu separately otherwise just changing this icon font size in that drop down menu in the above post changes the size of the font in many places.
I have Windows Style Builder and can try to make some changes for you as long as this is a custom theme you are creating and not someone else's custom theme.
