    Create a theme which changes windows logon Screen

    Hi,
    I want to that "how to create a theme that changes windows logon screen"
    I know that one can manually change windows logon screen by making a new folder named info and again making a new folder in the info folder named backgrounds and then by putting a picture in backgrounds folder and name it to backgroundDefault but I want to save this image in a .themepack so that when i install that .themepack in a new machine it automatically changes the windows logon screen.

    Hope that you would understood the problem,if yes please help

    Thanks

    Hello Asad Ali,

    I'm sorry, but this is not possible. A .themepack file does not include the log on screen background image.

    If you like, using OPTION ONE in the tutorial below makes it real fast and easy to change the log on screen image though.

    I'm sure that there may be 3rd party programs out there that may do this, but I'm afraid that I personally do not know the names of any though. Hopefully someone else may know of one to recommend, and post it.

    Its just not possible to do using a theme file as its not in any way involved with changing a theme. The only way would be to create an installer for the theme and include a .bat file to run during the installation to change the logon screen. Far to much work when this Log On Screen - Change can be done in seconds anyway.

    Would you please tell me or give me link that gives us the knowledge for creating a batch file for theme installer and obviously the installer as well?

    Each and every suggestion would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Nailed it after 869 days lol

    Add in the top line the following:
    [Theme]
    ; Windows 7 - IDS_THEME_DISPLAYNAME_AERO
    DisplayName=*THEME NAME*
    SetLogonBackground=1
    BrandImage=\Path\To\Logon\Image.png

    Must be .png

    You're very much welcome.
