I am going to guess your best bet is to back up all your data (documents, pictures, music, videos etc.) to an external hard drive get a list of all the installed programs and then do a clean install.

We all learn from our mistakes have been there to stay away from icon packs theme packs and tuneup utilities I do it manually so I can control what is changed and what is not.

I haven't used any icon packs/theme packs on windows 7 (never will I) but i used to do that a lot on XP.
I thought of changing the icons on win 7 too, but never tried it afraid i wouldn't be able to get the default ones back.
some icon pack named Token (dark and light) which i love, but haven't got around with it due to the reason ^^ above.
