"Mr GRiM's Glossy Blue, Black Glass and Ultimate Icon Pack" Installer

With kind permission from Mr GRiM, I thought I'd make an install script to make the installation of the excellent 'Mr GRiM's Glossy Blue Icon Pack' a lot easier for everyone.

It's a couple of batch files that run without aid from any other third-party applications. It runs from within your current Windows 7 setup without the need to boot into another operating system or without the need to enter Safe Mode either.

Here's the contents of the "README.txt" file...
Mr GRiM's Glossy Blue Icon Pack README.txt
    ------------------------------------------

    IMPORTANT INSTALL NOTE!
    -----------------------
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT 'USER ACCOUNT CONTROL' IS FULLY DISABLED BEFORE
    TRYING TO INSTALL OR UNINSTALL!!!
User Account Control Settings can be located in:
'Control Panel\User Accounts\Change User Account Control Settings'

    INSTALLATION
    ------------
To install Mr GRiM's Glossy Blue Icon Pack, extract the folder called
'MrGRiMsIcons' and then run the 'INSTALL.cmd' inside the folder.

    CREATE BACKUPS!
    ---------------
It's HIGHLY recommended that you backup the files yourself to a safe
    location before proceeding.
The install does create backups and a System Restore Point but if
something was to go wrong (like a power failure during running) you then
    have another way out!

The files required for backing-up are as follows:
    (32Bit)
    x:\Windows\System32\imageres.dll
    x:\Windows\System32\shell32.dll
    x:\Windows\System32\imagesp1.dll

    (64Bit)
    x:\Windows\System32\imageres.dll
    x:\Windows\System32\shell32.dll
    x:\Windows\System32\imagesp1.dll
    x:\Windows\SysWOW64\imageres.dll
    x:\Windows\SysWOW64\shell32.dll
    x:\Windows\SysWOW64\imagesp1.dll

    RESTARTS ARE IMPORTANT
    ----------------------
You MUST restart after installing/un-installing, The scripts will ask you
when they have finished their work.
Please restart ASAP after running, the scripts shutdown some services and
the only way to guarantee all is running again is to restart the system.

    RE-INSTALLATION
    ---------------
The files can ONLY be installed then removed once without running the util
in the 'Data' folder called 'UninstallCleanup.cmd'.. this is a safety feature
to prevent the original files (once backed-up) being over-wrote.

       Note

I MUST stress that everyone who decides to use the installer should manually creates backups of the files affected themselves, just as a safety precaution with the script being new.
(The script does create backups and a System Restore Point but there is no harm in being extra safe!)

The affected files are as listed in the Readme.

    'Glossy Blue' Download links:

No code has to be inserted here.No code has to be inserted here. * AIM problem now fixed!

No code has to be inserted here.No code has to be inserted here.(Note: The 'Ultimate' Icon Packs have been compressed using 7-Zip, these files can be opened using either 7-Zip or WinRar.)

New!!- 'Black & Gold' Download Links:

    Build 7600 RTM X64
    Download

       Note

If anyone is trying to update or re-install and cant re-run the install because of a 'Already Installed' warning it's because the 'Delete_Backups._cmd' isn't being renamed automatically,

To fix this just rename the file 'Delete_Backups._cmd' to 'Delete_Backups.cmd' in the 'Data' folder and run it as admin.
(or use the download below in this note and run that as admin.)

(If you've downloaded the icons in the past and don't fancy re-downloading the whole pack, here's the new 'Cleanup' script separately, just place it in the 'Data' folder and run.)

(Other builds will be available shortly!)
Don't forget to thank Mr GRiM if you like the icons, their his icons and without him these icon packs wouldn't be available.. I just wrote the install/uninstall scripts to make the installation process easier.

    Updates:
6th Aug 2009: Brand new Mr GRiM's Ultimate icon pack added.
27th July 2009: Mr GRiM's Black Glass icon pack added.
    23rd July 2009: Added separate x86 7100 version & 7100 'AIM' problems now fixed.
    19th July 2009: Added downloads for build 7100 and build 7600 ( .16384 & .16385 ).
