I think I found out a way to extract the bitmaps from the executables..

It seems we need this file

Attachment 30927

Now after downloading the steel flash100k.msstyle
put the start button executable of your choice together with the steel flash100k.msstyle inside the same folder... after doing so.. open the steel flash100k.msstyle using restorator.. and under the image tree go to 471 475 479 to locate the start button images..

NOTE: the images are in PNG.. so I think they won't work with windows 7 ? since windows 7 use BMP ?

err...
I don't know what I'm talking about again..
They just need to be converted
thanks SG...

just found out.. restorator could extract the PNG and automatically convert them to BMP and other formats

maybe the orbs could be ported to windows 7..

but i don't know what i'm talking about..
Those are really nice mate! They will need converting for it to be used in Windows 7. Let me know if you want a specific one converted?
I would really appreciate it if you converted the "standby" and the "orange" button
Managed it

I can see why. The start button was made for vista which has different dimensions than 7. (vista is 60x138 while 7 is 54x162)
